Description
The ASSR-15XX S eries is specifi cally desig ned f or high
current applications, commonly found in the industrial
applications.
The ASSR-15X X S eries c onsists of an AlG aAs infrar ed
light- emitting diode (LED ) input stage optically
coupled to a high-v oltage output det ector circuit. The
detector c onsists of a high-speed phot ovoltaic diode
array and driv er circuitry to switch on/off t wo discrete
high v oltage MOSFE Ts. The r elay turns on (c ontact
closes) with a minimum input curr ent of 3mA thr ough
the input LED . The relay turns off (c ontact opens) with
an input voltage of 0.8V or less.
The single channel c onfigurations , ASSR-1510 and
ASSR-1511, are equivalent to 1 Form A Electromechani-
cal Rela ys (EMR), and the dual channel c onfiguration,
ASSR-1520 and ASSR-1530, is equivalent t o 2 F orm A
EMR. They are available in 4-pin SO, 6-pin DIP, 8-pin DIP
and Gull Wing Surface Mount for DIP packages and true
surface mount SO -8pin. Their elec trical and swit ching
charac teristics ar e specified o ver the t emperatur e
range of -40°C to +85°C.
ASSR-1511 enables AC/DC and DC-only output connec-
tions. F or DC- only c onnection, the output curr ent, Io ,
increases to 2A and the on-r esistance, R(ON) reduces to
0.2.
