3.3V/5V, Single-Channel 500mA
Current-Limited Power Distribution Switch
DESCRIPTION
The MP620 5 Power Di stribution Switch featu res
internal curre nt limiting to prevent damage to host
devices due to faulty load condition s. The MP620 5
Analog switch feature s 9 0mΩ on -resistance a nd
operates from 2.7V to 5.5V input. It is available with
a guaranteed current limit, making it ideal for load
switching ap plications. T he MP620 5 has b uilt-in
protection fo r both over current an d increa sed
thermal stress. For over cu rrent, the device will limit
the current by changing to a constant current mode.
As the temperatu re incre ases as a re sult of short
circuit, the device will shut off. The device will
recover on ce the device temperatu re redu ces to
approx 120°C.
The MP62 05 is availa ble in QF N8, MSOP8E,
SOIC8E packages.
