The TL431A, B integrated circuits are three terminal programmable shunt regulator diodes. These monolithic IC voltage references operate as a low temperature coefficient zener which is programmable from Vref to 36 V with two external resistors. -DESCRIPTION
The TL431 is high-voltage three-terminal adjustable voltage references, with specified thermal stability over applicable industrial and commercial temperature ranges. Output voltage can be set to any value between VREF (2.5V) and 36V with two external resistors. These devices have a typical output impedance of 0.2Ω. Active output circuitry provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic making the TL431 excellent replacements for lowvoltage zener diodes in many applications,
